Helping you grow in your faith, and encouraging you to make a smoothie
In this post let’s discuss why reading the Bible in the morning is so important.
The Bible is the living word of God. As Christians we are on a mission to live for God, to become more Christ like, and grow deeper in our relationship with the Lord. God has given us His word to study, learn from, and use His truth to arm and strengthen us.
Each day we face daily dilemmas, a flat tire, a pop quiz, an angry customer, an argument with a loved one. We may face any these dilemmas and more on a daily basis. Thankfully we are equipped with the word of God to help us navigate these situations.
Starting the day off by reading the Bible in the morning sets you up to better handle the day ahead. It prepares your heart and strengthens you for the day.
Ephesians 6:10-12 is a verse that I have been studying as I have been working through the September portion of John MacArthur’s daily devotional titled Drawing Near. Each day we are to put on the armor of God to help us walk prepared and protected in our daily battles. Diving into the Bible daily helps equip us for challenges that may arise.
Each day holds unknown trials and situations that may test us. Some of those battles are not seen or fought on a physical level but are battles that must be dealt with on spiritual grounds.
In this post When should I read my Bible? a fellow blogger talks about why reading the Bible in the morning, at lunch, or at night is important while highlighting the benefits of reading the Bible at those specific times.
Reading the word of God is important no matter what time you read it. However, reading the Bible specifically in the morning can be beneficial to the way you navigate the day. Set yourself up for the day ahead by reading the Bible in the morning!
